Broadcasting studios demand exceptional acoustic isolation. Mwendo supplied point-bearing floating floor systems for e.tv, protecting sensitive recording and production environments from structure-borne noise and mechanical vibration.

Challenge

Broadcasting and production studios require extremely low background noise levels. Any structure-borne vibration — from traffic, HVAC systems, or activity elsewhere in the building — can compromise recording quality. Standard construction methods cannot achieve the isolation levels required for professional broadcast.

Solution

Acoustic Floor Blocks (AFB) point-bearing systems were installed under the studio floors, achieving natural frequencies below 8 Hz. This provides effective isolation across the full frequency range relevant to audio production, including very low-frequency mechanical vibration.
