Mwendo provided noise and vibration isolation solutions for the Discovery Head Office in Sandton — a large-scale commercial development with demanding acoustic requirements across multiple building zones.

Challenge

A mixed-use commercial building with high-occupancy office floors, fitness facilities, and mechanical plant required a coordinated isolation strategy. Vibration from HVAC equipment and impact noise from internal amenities both needed to be addressed within the constraints of a complex multi-storey structure.

Solution

Mwendo specified floating floor systems for the internal gym and high-activity zones, combined with Sylomer® anti-vibration mounts for mechanical plant. Each element was engineered to the specific load and frequency requirements of its location within the building.
