Akustik Pipe
The Akustik Pipe is a double-hole pipe isolation clamp using a Sylomer® microcellular polyurethane element housed in a galvanised steel body. It decouples pipework from supporting structures in both rigid and flexible pipe installations — stopping structure-borne noise and vibration from transmitting into the building fabric at each fixing point.
How It Works
- A double-hole Sylomer® element is fitted within the steel housing, clamping the pipe at two contact points for stable, rattle-free support
- Preload is controlled by the distance the Sylomer® element protrudes beyond the housing — bolt is tightened until the housing base makes firm contact
- The Sylomer® element is removable without disturbing the pipe, allowing inspection or replacement in service
- The steel housing provides fail-safe protection — limiting deflection under shock and preventing contact between pipe and structure
